Adverse skin reactions due to use of fase masks in Korea

A self-administered online survey was conducted in 303 participants in order to know the presence of skin manifestations secondary to the use of face masks and it was found that the general prevalence rate of skin lesions caused by face masks was 59.4%. In patients with pre-existing dermatoses, the prevalence of skin lesions induced by the use of face masks was 71.31%, which is higher than the overall prevalence of 59.4%. The most frequent dermatitis was acne vulgaris with 21.45%, followed by urticaria, contact dermatitis, atopic dermatitis and rosacea
