Children with SARS were sporadic and had a clear history of exposure. In contrast, children with COVID-19 showed a clear account of clustering in infected homes and community spread. According to incomplete statistics,> 230 children were infected with COVID-19, of which 69/257 (26.8%) had a history of exposure in Hubei province and 183/257 (71.2%) had a clear account of clustering in infected homes. The most common symptoms of these two illnesses were fever and cough, and most children had a good prognosis. Children with COVID-19 had less fever and were more asymptomatic. Younger children, especially newborns, affected by COVID-19 had an unfavorable prognosis, which was different from children with SARS, which showed that increasing age predicted a worse prognosis. The lung images of children infected with SARS and COVID-19 were nonspecific in the disease's early stages. However, many children with COVID-19 cases have shown typical lung images compared to children with SARS.
