Since the whole context of our reality has changed, new questions and concerns have come to place too. The authors establish how current issues on palliative care for dementia patients have not been discussed substantially. However, they gathered up specific recommendations on physical aspects, advance care planning, psicologic care, bereavement care, among some others that perhaps the overall caregivers at homes could find enlightening. Spiritual, ethical, and cultural aspects are reported to be the aridest areas in the current literature. The scarcity of resources at the moment, perhaps make those topics look unimportant, but they are actually vital parts of the work nurses put together when caring for the last stages of life. It is encouraging to see more knowledge being published day by day on issues like this one. Anyhow, in order to help healthcare professionals make the most ethically coherent decisions, there are still several questions to be answered.
