The pandemic's critical state has not yet ended, so continuing to take measures to reduce the risk of exposure to the virus for patients and the efficient distribution of resources remain the best options available. According to the detrimental clinical prognosis, the European Association of Urology (AEU) has suggested a classification for urological cases, considering the greater efficacy, safety, and equity for all patients and their physicians. This text reviewed 63 articles related to this urology context. It proposes a triage table for urological care, where deferrable and non-deferrable cases are ordered. Uro-oncology and urological emergencies have the highest priority, and transplants from living donors are recommended to be postponed for up to 6 months if possible. Pediatric urology cases are grouped within the same table but with different triage criteria. If all therapeutic instances other than surgery have been exhausted, the surgical modality must be chosen carefully due to the potential iatrogenic trauma involved in urological procedures. The authors also discuss the role of education for urology residents during this pandemic. They emphasize that adapting to this new technological approach to telemedicine is going to be of great importance to become providers of the highest quality healthcare services at this time and in the uncertain future that lies ahead.
